What the hell happened to Spain on day 1 of men's soccer at the London 2012 Olympics?!?!?
Thank the good Lord that there's so good news - make that fan-freakin'-tastic news - to balance all the doom & gloom that is my favorite team's medal prospects! Bugaboo Stamps is pleased to welcome two new GDs to the DT for the months of 08/2012 and 09/2012 - the lovely leading lady Lyn Young and the sweet, sexy, stamper Susie Moore! I'm so incredibly thrilled to work with both of these talented artists!
Hi, I'm Lyn aka
Spyder on most forums and Blogland. I live in The UK in a beautiful part of
Hampshire called The New Forest, with hubby John. We have two married daughters,
Emma who’s expecting our second grandchild on Christmas Day and Maria, who
lives near Seattle USA with our first grandson, Mason Rain, who’s almost three.
The first Crafty
thing I can remember doing, apart from drawing (I was always drawing) was when
I started school. We made paper-mâché flower pots and painted them! I loved it
and once I realised you could make glue by mixing flour and water that was it!
Even to this day I have a dragon’s head in my attic!
We moved from
Kent to Hampshire when I was about seven and suddenly I was rubbish at school,
often labelled “away with the fairies.” The year I left school I was told I was
probably dyslexic. “That would explain a lot!”
Art became the
only thing I was top or second at in School (Apart from running…I could run!!)
Later I taught
Play School for many years and helped children who couldn’t read at the local
school for a while. I’ve been a riding Instructor, had my own gardening business,
still do dog walking and have been a Face Painter who dressed as a clown! I’ve
also sold my cartoon strips to local magazines and papers and single cartoons
to National Newspapers like the Daily Mirror and The Sun. I also love writing
stories.
After an op that
went wrong I found myself unable to do normal things for quite a while. One day
I found Crafting on the Television and everything changed. I started my blog
'Spyder’s Corner' in February 2009, and my digi store Spyder’s Other Corner a
year later.
My ambition
is to have at least one of my stories published and maybe get some of my digi’s
into rubber!
My name is Susie Cannon Moore. I am married to my soul mate Randall and
between us we have five grown children - four boys and one girl. We are also blessed to have four wonderful
grandchildren, River 14, Izzy 5, Caleb 3, and Paige is our newest. We are also expecting one more grandson –
Andrew in November. We live in a small
country town – Maypearl, Tx.
I have been paper crafting all my life…but started
scrapbooking seriously in 1998. It has
been full throttle ever since. My motto
is, “A day without scrapbooking? Not if
I can help it”. And I’ve tried to live
by that all these years.
I have been published in Paper Crafts magazine and also have
been on HGTV’s Crafter’s Coast to Coast. What an experience!
I love to scrapbook my family, do mini books mostly as gifts,
and card making is a passion I have embraced for years. Using digis is especially wonderful as I am a
computer nerd too.
In May of 2011 I began a website devoted to crafting with
dies. It is the best of all worlds
because I have been a die-aholic from the early Sizzix days and I can use any
and all products to make my projects.
Soccer is a bit of a touchy subject today (SIGH!), but I'll put on my big girl panties and plug today's Freebie Friday image at Bugaboo Stamps - AKV Girls Soccer 7. She's available for you to download for free all week long in our store, where you can also purchase the rest of her teammates. . .GOAL!!!
Note: Bugaboo Stamps makes every attempt to get our digital images uploaded to our store by noon EST for Freebie Friday, but please accept our apologies and check back later in the day if they're not there at that time.
